Conference Opening up education 18 March

On 18 March 2016, the Welten Institute is organising a 1-day conference entitled ‘Opening up education’. During this conference, latest developments and experiences in open education are presented. Prof. dr. Marco Kalz, professor in Open Education will give the keynote ‘Een jaagpad door de wereld van Open Online Onderwijs’. The conference is about new trends and developments of using open educational resources (OER), as well as open source technology and application of new practices to open up access to education. An important role in this, are Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), reuse of data (open data) and open innovation processes, next to mobile and contextualized delivery through mobile devices and technologies. The programme consists of a mix of lectures, workshops, posters and a discussion session moderated via Padlet.
