The European project funding to EMMA will officially come to an end in July but the platform europeanmoocs.eu will continue delivering MOOCs in 2016 – 2017. After the call to action for new MOOCs, lots of interesting proposals have come in and the project team is currently selecting new MOOCs over the summer to be launched in the new academic year. Many of the most recent MOOCs will continue to be available as self-paced courses during the holiday period, so you can even take EMMA on holidays with you.
In this newsletter, Rosanna De Rosa, EMMA project coordinator makes a comparison between EMMA and our sister project ECO which makes for interesting reading. Each of these large scale European MOOC projects have delivered a MOOC model for Europe, taking quite different approaches – so it’s a good time for a review. The EMMA team has also been very busy in recent months at different events, read about our contribution to the recent EDEN conference, and our forthcoming workshop at EDULEARN16. Also don’t miss our webinar on the 12th of July, join us to discuss the future of European MOOCs – we think there’s a lot to share!
