A second European project to be supported under the Competitiveness and innovation (CIP) framework programme of the European Union was launched on 27 and 28 February 2014. The project is called ECO and it is led by UNED in Madrid. Its full name is ‘E-learning, Communication and Open-data: Massive Mobile, Ubiquitous and Open Learning’ and it will train teachers in the use and development of traditional and mobile MOOCs. New in regard to other MOOC platforms is that the design of the MOOCs will be done through constructivism and learning networks and that the delivery will take place by mobile devices. The project will develop several MOOCs in 10 different pilots, in which at least 50.000 students will participate. Furthermore 4000 teachers will be trained to develop their own MOOCs. http://ecolearning.eu/
