In this MOOC we will introduce the concept of e-learning to you. After a general introduction into e-learning we cover aspects such as the relation with learning and pedagogical theories, the influence of technology on education, training and learning, and the relation between pedagogics and didactics and e-learning These topics are organised in four learning activities, consisting of assignments for you to carry out and to become engaged with the other participants. Through the assignments you will explore some e-learning applications from the perspective of learning theories, consider the effect of technology and investigate the role of didactics.
Moreover, we incorporate the video recordings of two master classes that have taken place earlier. The themes of these master classes are learning analytics and the assessment of multimedia content. An expert on the topic is interviewed in the master class and provides introduction, theoretical deepening and practical application.
Furthermore we provide a number of resources for you to study.
