The European University Association has recently published its study into e-learning among its members. This study asked about the type of e-learning institutions use, their experiences in this area and their expectations for the future. While the study considered blended and online learning in various formats a considerable amount of effort went into investigating the degree of interest and experience in MOOCs. Their findings show that MOOCs are still of high and seemingly growing interest at European universities. At the time of the survey, only 31 of the responding institutions (12% of the sample), either offered MOOCs or were just about to launch them. But almost half of the 218 institutions that did not offer MOOCs indicated their intention to introduce them. Read the full study here.
