In a recent interview with Knowledge@Wharton, Coursera co-founder Daphne Koller reviewed her view of the MOOC phenomenon since her last interview with Knowledge@Wharton 2 years ago which many consider to have been the pinnacle of the hype around MOOCs.
In her interview, Daphne discusses the impact Coursera verified certification is having on the take-up of MOOCs and identifies such certification as well as specializations as being the primary source of revenue for Coursera. She also goes on to talk about Coursera’s plans for the future including the effort her team is putting into translation and localization.
