The MOOC Research Initiative which is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is actively supporting research into the MOOC phenomenon. At the forefront of this initiative is MOOC guru George Siemens from Athabasca University and the successful research outputs will be published in the IRRODL Journal.
